It was rumored earlier in the week that Vogel was on a plane to Philadelphia, and while the Wildwood native could have just been heading home for Memorial Day Weekend down the shore, it now appears he did meet with the Sixers.
Vogel appeared on the original list that Adrian Wojnarowski released as potential candidates shortly after Doc Rivers was relieved of his duties.
Vogel would be the Sixers’ second-known interview after it was reported that the organization would meet with former Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.

Vogel most recently coached the Lakers for three years before getting the boot after the 2021-22 season. He was the coach when LeMickey and A-Disney won the NBA Finals in the bubble during the COVID season.
Before the Lakers, Vogel coached two years in Orlando with bad Magic teams but had a great deal of success during his six seasons with the Indiana Pacers, where he made the Eastern Conference Finals twice before getting eliminated by LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
Over his career, Vogel has a career record of 431-389 in the regular season and 49-39 in the playoffs.
