Last night, the Phillies came back from a 5-0 deficit to win in extra innings.
They scored a combined three runs in the 9th and 10th innings, coming back to win 6-5. The heroes from that comeback? Well, let’s get into it.
Leg 1: Trea Turner to Hit a Home Run | +470 at FanDuel
Hero number one from last night would be our friend Trea Turner. Now let’s call a spade a spade; Turner had been on a BRUTAL cold streak heading into and including last night.
He swung at a pitch that hit the ground at a distance that felt like a solid 6 feet before the plate. It got to the point where the Phillies home crowd was booing Turner, and he even admitted after the game that his own mother might have thrown in a couple of boos here and there.
But, all hope was not lost as Turner hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game 5-5. So, for tonight, we are backing Turner to turn that momentum into a hot streak and go yard tonight. Sound about right.

Leg 2: Alec Bohm to Hit a Home Run | +540 at FanDuel
Hero number two would be Alec “I F’ing love this place” Bohm. With the bases chucked in the bottom of the 10th inning, Bohm was up at the plate and essentially just needed to get the ball out of the infield to secure a Phillies win.
Luckily, Bohm did just that. He sent a ball deep into right field that didn’t make it completely out of the park, but it was plenty far enough for the runner at third to get home, winning the game for the Phillies.
Today, the Phillies are going up against their rivals in the Braves, but they should have an advantage with the Braves throwing Dylan Dodd on the mound.
Dodd has started three games so far this season and has given up a total of 11 earned runs and three home runs in only 15 innings — a great opportunity for both Turner and Bohm to go yard.
