Flyers Announce Changes to Hockey Ops

Danny Briere is wasting zero time getting the people he wants around him…around him. Today the Flyers announced some changes to the Hockey Ops.
The Flyers announced they have let go of Kjell Samuelsson, John Riley & advisor Mike O’Connell.
Alyn McCauley has been promoted to assistant GM. He’ll oversee the Phantoms and be their GM.
McCauley joined the team in 2017 and was a pro scout for the Flyers for four years. He also scouted for the LA Kings for 9 years, starting in 2009.
Riley Armstrong has been promoted to Director of Player Development. Armstrong was previously an assistant coach for the Phantoms.
Armstrong worked with Briere on the Main Mariners of the ECHL when he was promoted from head coach to AGM in his second year with the organization.
Nick Schultz is the new Assistant Director of Player Development. He’ll work right alongside Armstrong in terms of player dev.
Schultz obviously played for the Flyers from 2014-2017. He’s spent the last few years in the Flyers organization as a developmental coach. He deserves the look he’s getting. Who doesn’t love Schultz?
