Monday’s BEST Home Run Picks, MLB Picks & Predictions 6.19

Despite only having 10 games on today’s MLB betting slate, we have some juicy games for home runs to be hit.
Below, we have our three favorite MLB home run picks for today. Let’s get into it.
Nolan Arenado to Hit a Home Run | +300 at FanDuel
Overall, despite the smaller slate mentioned above, today features a lot of games that have a positive weather correlation for home runs. This Cardinals vs. Nationals game is definitely one of these games. It isn’t the best weather game, we will get into that one later, but still, a good game to target, and I love backing Arenado in this spot.
We all know that Arenado is capable of going on absolute heaters at the plate. This is evidenced by his absurd stretch back in May when he hit a home run in five straight games and in six of seven. While he isn’t quite on that type of streak at this moment in time, he did just hit two dongs yesterday. So, the hope here is that he can go on a similar type of streak.
Diving into Arenado’s advanced stats at the plate, unsurprisingly, show a batter that produces good power. Looking at his ISO rate, which essentially measures the raw power of a hitter, Arenado has an ISO rate of 21.7%. Anything above 20% is considered “great”, so Arenado being at 21.7% is great news for us; this is all according to FanGraphs
Jonathan India to Hit a Home Run | +340 at FanDuel
This Rockies vs. Reds game might be the best game of the entire year when it comes to home runs being hit when you take into account the weather as well as the pitchers on the mound. Reds stadium is already a hitter’s park, and this is one of the best days you’ll ever see from a weather perspective.
Along with the weather, we have two extremely home run-friendly pitchers, starting with Rockies pitcher Austin Gomber. He has a ridiculous 20% HR/FB (home-run to fly-ball) ratio. That means literally 20% of all fly balls hit against him turn into home runs, which is silly.
India himself is on a tear at the plate, hitting a home run in back-to-back games and in three of four as well. Let’s back him to keep the hot streak alive tonight.

Nolan Jones to Hit a Home Run | +330 at FanDuel
Next pick, we are sticking in the same game and going with a Rockies hitter. Pitching for the Reds is Brandon Williamson, who isn’t quite as bad as Gomber, but he is still a very home-run-friendly pitcher. His HR/FB ratio is at 15%, which is a far cry from 20% but still quite bad, and he has an HR/9 of 1.99. Essentially, for every 9 innings pitched by Williamson, he is giving up two home runs. That is also very bad.
Jones counting stats in terms of power don’t look super impressive with 4 home runs on the year, but it needs to be considered that he only has 75 ABs this season as he was just called up on 5/26. Overall, he’s still batting .320 on the year, so it is not as though he’s having a bad year by any means; he’s just had limited plate appearances.
There is reason to believe his home run count is going to start to climb, though, looking at his advanced stats. Remember earlier how I mentioned that an ISO rate above 20% is considered great? Well, Jones’ ISO rate is 24%. FanGraphs considers anything 25% and above “excellent” and Jones is right around that number.
He also bas a barrel rate of 14.9%, which is also quite good. He doesn’t have enough plate appearances to qualify, but that 14.9% number would be tied with Corey Seager for 2nd-best in the entire MLB, behind only Aaron Judge.
