Sixers Buzz: GM Daryl Morey does not seem pleased with Keith Pompey’s recent reporting on Tobias Harris

Sixers GM Daryl Morey isn’t afraid of chiming in on Twitter, regardless of the topic. If his team is involved, best believe Morey is going to speak his mind – or at least share a gif to let us know where his head’s at.
Over the weekend, Philadelphia Inquirer’s Keith Pompey reported that the Sixers are “adamant” about keeping Tobias Harris this offseason, despite rumors that Philadelphia would prefer unloading his absurdly bad contract.
“The Sixers were also unwilling to get a third team involved to facilitate the deal. The team has been adamant that it doesn’t intend to trade Harris at this time,” Pompey wrote.
Pompey, who’s routinely dragged on Twitter for taking advantage of gullible Sixers fans, once again received backlash for this report. After Hoops Reference (@HoopsReference) sent out a Tweet reading, “How many times are people going to fall for Keith Pompey before yall realize he’s not an accurate source,” Daryl responded with this:

Pretty easy to infer what Daryl is getting at here. Pompey continues to put out click-baity “reports,” while oblivious Sixers fans keep eating it up.
With NBA free agency set to begin on Friday, I have to imagine we’ll get some clarity on this whole Tobias Harris saga. James Harden still remains at the top of Philadelphia’s to-do list; unloading Tobias should be a close second (if not first).
