Patrick Beverley agrees to one-year, $3.2 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a one-year, minimum-salary contract with veteran guard Patrick Beverley.
The 35-year old Beverley will sign a one-year, $3.2 million deal with the Sixers. He averaged 6.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists while shooting 33.5% from deep playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls in the 2022-23 season.

While the Sixers yet again, attempt to rebuild a contending basketball team, adding Beverley to a bench unit that has now lost the following players heading into next season, is a solid first step.

Beverley has been known for his relentless defense, trash talk, and high-energy form of play and will definitely bring that “edge” to a Sixers team that notoriously lacks one.
The three-time All-Defense Team player has a history with Daryl Morey during his time with the Houston Rockets. He also played in a few games under Nick Nurse as a member of the 2012-12 Rio Grande Valley Vipers team that won the D League Championship.
