WATCH: FS1 host suggests Joel Embiid should force his way to the New York Knicks

For some reason or another, these Joel Embiid to the New York Knicks rumors keep persisting. There’s no legitimate reporting behind any of the rumors; it’s mostly just New Yorkers trying to speak it into existence.
That’s essentially exactly what FS1’s Jason McIntyre did during Wednesday’s edition of “The Herd.” Filling in for Colin Cowherd, McIntyre (who’s a New York homer) spent a few minutes spewing nonsense about why Embiid should force his way to New York because, well, he’s a New York Knicks fan.

I don’t even know where to begin with this, so I’m just going to shoot from the hip here.
First off, McIntyre’s reasoning for why Joel Embiid should want out of Philly is because of the shitshow the organization has become. Which, in all honesty, I won’t argue with. But to suggest the Knicks’ brass is any better is laughable. The Knicks have the allure of playing in New York on their side and still can’t bring in any notable talent.
If the Sixers are the worst-run organization in the NBA, the Knicks are a firm 1B on that list.
Secondly, Joel Embiid isn’t going to force his way out of Philadelphia this offseason. I wouldn’t necessarily blame him if he did, but I don’t think we’ve reached that point just yet. And for McIntyre to suggest the Sixers are ready to restart The Process by shipping off all their talent for draft picks… is that a serious take?
As long as Daryl Morey is at the helm, the Sixers are going to continue to try and build around Embiid and chase rings. It’s as simple as that.
It’s important to realize McIntyre is a Knicks fan and that’s really the only reason he’s putting this into the airwaves. It makes no sense for the Sixers to even consider such a move. McIntyre is just talking for the sake of talking here.
