The 43-year old still has it and honestly, if the Phillies were smart, they would be on the phone with him immediately to add some extra depth to their bench with a power hitting first baseman.

Ryan Howard is the fastest player to reach both the 100 and 200 home run mark in MLB History. He’s tied with Sammy Sosa (cheater) for the most National League 140 RBI seasons (3) and the most National League 130 RBI seasons (4). 

Howard hit 45 home runs (198 total) in three straight seasons from 2006-2009. By the time he reached 30 years old, he hit 222 home runs in just 732 games played.

While players like Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins are revered in Phillies’ history, I always thought that Ryan Howard got the short end of the stick when it came to recognition, but I will say that over the past few seasons, he has started to get the respect he rightfully deserves.

Nick Castellanos and Craig Kimbrel will represent the Phillies in the All-Star game this year.
