Report: Jahlil Okafor is taking his talents overseas, expected to sign with Spanish basketball team Basket Zaragoza

According to Eurohoops, Okafor is on the verge of taking his talents to overseas. Spanish basketball team Basket Zaragoza is reportedly working to finalize the signing of Okafor for next season.
Honestly, it’s pretty wild that Okafor is still just 27 years old.
Former president of basketball operations for the Philadelphia 76ers Sam Hinkie drafted the Okafor third overall in the 2015 NBA Draft. At the time, the Sixers already had Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid on their roster but due to health concerns, Hinkie went ahead and selected Okafor as well.
Note: Okafor was drafted behind Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell. The Sixers drafted him over players like Kristaps Porzingis and Devin Booker. Yikes.Â
Okafor had a pretty solid rookie season in Philly, averaging 17.5 points, seven rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 53 games with the Sixers. Since then, he’s played in 142 regular season games for the Brooklyn Nets, New Orleans Pelicans, and the Detroit Pistons before taking his talents to Mexico City.
He appeared in 15 games with the Capitanes this year, averaging 20.5 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes per game.Â
