There are a select few NFL media pundits worth listening to every time they speak. Peter King is unquestionably one of them.

King has been making his rounds around the league at various training camp sessions and made time for Eagles practice Wednesday. He spoke with Nick Sirianni and of course, QB Jalen Hurts. After sitting down with the Eagles quarterback, King had nothing but great things to say.

Peter King has been one of the only big-time NFL media talking heads to embrace Hurts as a truly elite QB. In King’s estimation, Hurts will be an unquestioned top-three quarterback in the NFL by the end of this upcoming season.

In the eyes of most fans and NFL media figures, Hurts will need to have another excellent season before they give him the title of elite. That’s fair, but when you look at what Hurts has said and done this offseason – remaining completely focused on this upcoming year – it’s hard to envision him falling short of expectations.

Like Peter King said, this kind of quarterback has staying power. I can’t wait to see what Hurts has in store come September.
