Phillies fans believing they can influence the way that Trea Turner plays baseball is at best, laughable

In case you have been living under a rock, Trea Turner has not lived up to the lofty expectations since joining the Philadelphia Phillies before the start of the 2023 season.
The Phillies 10-year, $300 million shortstop is going through hell this season on the baseball field and no one knows that better than Trea Turner himself.
Turner is batting .206 with two home runs, five RBI, and 35 strikeouts over his last 30 games and has left fans begging for answers as to why he’s struggling so badly this season in Philly.

There were reports of him in the batting cages past midnight down in Miami trying to figure things out and he was basically responsible for the only game lost against the Fish after making a costly error on a routine grounder that should have ended the game.
Now, we have Phillies fans on social media debating whether or not to give Trea Turner a standing ovation or to boo him into oblivion when he steps up to the plate tonight at Citizens Bank Park, while fans on Reddit are making donations to the Jimmy V Foundation, the reported charity of choice for Turner.
Show some dignity for crying out loud.
Listen, I hate all of this and honestly, it’s embarrassing but really, I expected nothing less from [Insert Team Name] Twitter or [Insert Team Name] Reddit fans.
I refuse to treat professional baseball player Trea Turner like he’s some type of rookie or even worse, a Make a Wish kid. He needs to figure this shit out himself with the help of his teammates and coaches.
The fact that Phillies fans think they can influence how Trea Turner plays baseball is laughable.
Again, this is an 8-year MLB veteran and someone who has been playing baseball his entire life.
To be Clear: Nothing fans do or say will impact what Turner does on the baseball field. Period.

Imagine being such a self-centered, oblivious, Phillies fan and thinking that you donating money to Trea Turner’s “charity of choice”, The Jimmy V Foundation, is going to help him turn things around on the baseball diamond.
That’s like believing Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a real.
Does anyone think that Trea Turner is actually looking at Twitter or Reddit of all places and seeing what Phillies fans are doing in attempt to get him out of his season-long slump?
If you do, then I have a beach front property in Idaho to sell you. DM me.
Standing O or Boo Birds for Trea Turner?
The entire conversation about whether or not to give Turner a standing ovation or to boo him when he steps up to the plate is childish and boring and honestly, I truly believe that it’s only being discussed because it’s August 4th and there’s literally nothing else to talk about.
It’s a tired, drawn out narrative that means absolutely nothing.
Comparing Alec Bohm to Trea Turner? Really?
And no, this isn’t anything comparable to Alec Bohm and his “Hate This Place” comments. That’s completely ridiculous and I’m not even sure how to articulate the million reasons why so let’s just go with the fact that Alec Bohm was at the beginning of his second full season in the MLB, a year after being sent down to the minors for not being able to hit a baseball.
Trea Turner? He’s an 8-year veteran and came to Philly as roughly a career .300 hitter. Comparing the two is beyond ridiculous.
Do whatever you want.
At the end of the day, I honestly don’t give a shit what anyone does. I rally against anyone who tells any person how to feel or act.
Do whatever you want. Just how you all have opinions on how to “support” a player, I do too.
However you decide to treat Trea Turner, I promise you, he’s not listening.

Your obvious enmity for Phillies fans is only surpassed by the shitty piece of writing posted here.
Oh and a hoodie? For Christs sake it’s obvious you’re trying too hard cuhuv
Clues.
You’re a coward for commenting anonymously and throwing around insults like a child. Shame on you.
You’re 100% correct, Drew!
It’s absolutely amazing how childish supposedly grown adults can be.
It’s discouraging that their reasoning and intelligence level is somewhere around elementary school.
Those people should not be allowed to re-produce.
Thank you Frank. One of the few who agrees. Typically means we’re on the right side of things
Typical negative person that epitomizes the state of humans today…positive reinforcement works. Try it with your own kids. Never too old to be influenced by positive behavior.
I’m not a negative person at all Tim. I just think praising an 8 year MLB veteran who has underperformed all season isn’t necessary. Of course, now fans will credit themselves for Turners success and completely ignore the opponents in the Royals and Nationals, but hey! I’m just happy he’s hitting and the Phillies are winning baseball games. All that matters in the end!
