Eagles Buzz: NFL forced AJ Brown to change neon cleats mid-game vs. Bucs
Eagles WR AJ Brown enjoyed a bounce-back performance in Monday night’s victory over Tampa Bay, catching nine passes for 131 yards.
Brown was sporting flashy neon cleats in the first quarter, coordinated nicely with his mouthpiece. Later in the game, however, Brown switched to black cleats.
Many believed the change was due to the weather conditions, but it was revealed to be the NFL’s doing.
Yes they did. No Fun League strikes again! 👎🏾 https://t.co/2hM04QRI9o

Officials warned Brown that he couldn’t return to the field with his highlighter yellow cleats as they didn’t conform with the NFL’s uniform policy. Players are only permitted to wear white, black, or team-colored cleats.
The league allows customized cleats only once per season during its My Cause My Cleats weekend.
A.J. Brown picked up 74 of his 131 receiving yards after the catch (+35 YACOE) and 8 of his 9 receptions against off coverage.
