Calum Scott is ready for Red October, gives his support to Phillies in Twitter post ahead of tonight’s Wild Card game
Red October has finally returned to Philadelphia and ahead of tonight’s start to the National League Wild Card Series, Calum Scott took to Twitter to provide his support for what we all hope is another long postseason run for The Fightins.
Obviously, Calum Scott sings “Dancing On My Own” which has become the Philadelphia Phillies official anthem for Red October. Earlier today, he took to Twitter to give the Phillies a personal shoutout as they begin their quest for a World Series tonight against the Miami Marlins in the NL Wild Card round.

Back in January, “Dancing On My Own” passed 1 BILLION streams on Spotify and of course, the Phillies’ 2022 World Series run was a major part in that significant jump in numbers.

Heading into the 2023 season, the Phillies initially planned on ditching Dancing On My Own as their anthem since they didn’t want to be associated with a “second place song” but that quickly changed after a slow start to the season.
In June, the Phillies fired up Garrett Stubbs signature Spotify playlist and ‘Dancing On My Own’ in the locker room yet again and it’s hard to ignore the results. The Phillies finished the 2023 regular season posting a 65-42 record since June 1st and managed to clinch the No. 1 spot in the National League Wild Card.

Last year, Scott said that he would travel to Philadelphia to perform Dancing On My Own live at the World Series parade. That didn’t happen as the Phillies fell short of the top of the mountain, but all things considered, we’re back in the mix this year and I would have to assume that Scott’s offer is still on the table.
