Proof we all live in a Simulation: Phillies in NLDS Game 3’s in 2022 & 2023 vs Braves

The Philadelphia Phillies DESTROYED the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the NLDS tonight in South Philadelphia, winning 10-2 while taking a commanding 2-1 lead into a potential series-clinching Game 4 tomorrow night.

The Phillies fell behind 1-0 early in tonight’s ballgame before opening the flood gates in the bottom of the third inning, scoring six runs in the frame. Nick Castellanos got things rolling with a solo home run to tie the game 1-1.

On the night, Castellanos went 2-4 with 2 home runs, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored. 

Bryce Harper then absolutely crushed a 3-run home run to give the Phillies a 4-1 lead and JT Realmuto followed shortly after with a 2-run double to put the game out of reach for the Braves with six innings left in the game.

The inning almost mirrored last year’s Game 3 win against the Atlanta Braves when Rhys Hoskins hit a 3-run home run and the Phillies scored 6 total runs, taking complete control of the five game series with a clinching opportunity in Game 4 the following night.
