James Harden, still talking about Daryl Morey, goes on record about a ‘promised max contract’ from the Sixers
Remember James Harden? In a recent interview with Sam Amick of The Athletic, he was…
James Harden missed practice yet again today, but this time it was for a “personal matter.”
Harden has reportedly been in the city of Houston since the Sixers practice on Sunday. Your guess is as good as mine what Harden has been actually doing instead of showing up to practice. Some are saying on Twitter that there could be something going on with his mother, but I won’t speculate.
There isn’t a whole lot different here with this news drop; he still remains frustrated that he hasn’t been traded to the Clippers. Last week, Harden told the press that he couldn’t envision a way to mend things with Philadelphia. Earlier in the offseason, he had labeled the president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, as a “liar” and that he would “never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”
It was reported last night that discussions between the Clippers and Sixers have reached a standstill, even after additional talks in recent days. The Clippers are hesitant to engage in one-sided negotiations and have shown reluctance to include Terance Mann in any potential deal, as per Sam Amick’s information.
Thank the lord for the Phillies and the Eagles because this has been the most annoying thing for this organization. No organization in sports has had more annoying storylines and drama than the Sixers. It’s the same report every day, and nothing has changed for some reason. Luckily, with the NBA set to tip off in about a week, things could ramp up regarding an actual resolution to this never-ending problem.
