Seahawks’ Tariq Woolen tells Carson Wentz he’s a ‘legend’ after Sunday’s matchup

When you ask fans around the country about former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, very rarely will you hear them call the signal caller a ‘legend.’ And if they do, they’re probably being sarcastic.

The embattled QB is now on his fourth team in four years, signing with the Los Angeles Rams a few weeks back to be their backup. He hasn’t seen the field yet, but he’s been been suiting up for LA ever since he’s signed there.

Following their win against the Seahawks on Sunday, Wentz was greeted by Seattle CB Tariq Woolen, who nearly had a panic attack out of excitement when he saw the former second overall pick.

Probably the most random interaction between opposing players I’ve seen all season. And frankly, it’s pretty surprising. I was under the assumption that Wentz was viewed pretty poorly around the NFL. I mean, he didn’t sign with a team until just a few weeks ago even though he was on the free agent market all offseason.

Woolen is just one guy and obviously doesn’t represent anyone else’s opinion other than his own. Nevertheless, pretty weird hearing someone calling Carson Wentz a legend like that and fangirling out over him.

Wentz will always be appreciated for his contributions during the Super Bowl 2017 season, but the ‘legendary’ label belongs to Nick Foles. I am happy to see people still giving Wentz some appreciation, though. The guy has been through a lot over the past four years.
