Jalen Hurts takes MVP race by storm after heroic second half in win vs. Bills

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles did it again.

The Eagles trailed at halftime for the fourth straight game and found a way to win. In back-to-back weeks, they fought back by being down multiple scores heading into halftime against the NFL’s most elite teams/quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

While the casual football fans and the clowns who are fans of the Dallas Cowboys will try to nitpick Hurt’s stats, I am here to provide the truth. According to Vegas, Jalen is the frontrunner to win MVP (+125). He wins, and even when the offense struggles to do much of anything, he can pull a win out of nowhere.

I’m not one of those strictly eye-test guys, either. I love some stats, so here are some Michael Jordan-esque stats from the Eagles franchise quarterback.

Jalen Hurts when tied or trailing in the second half this season

  • 10 TDs (first)
  • 0 INT (first)
  • 136.6 rating (first)

While those stats are very impressive, Hurts also made NFL history in today’s game. He is now the first quarterback with at least ten rushing TDs in three consecutive seasons.

To put it kindly, the Eagle’s offense was abysmal in the first half today. All signs were pointing towards the team losing a game to the Bills, which certainly felt like a “trap game,” considering the team just upset the Chiefs at Arrowhead and will be hosting the Niners in an NFC heavyweight battle next week.

Yet again, Jalen Hurts rallied the troops.
