WATCH: Kid crushes ‘Rocky Balboa’ speech in front of Sylvester Stallone at the Rocky Statue

The city of Philadelphia held their first ever “Rocky Day” on Sunday and Sylvester Stallone was in attendance, taking pictures with fans in front of the Rocky Statue.

Listen. For all of you who think that the city of Philadelphia spends their entire existence idolizing a fictional boxer and now have taken it to new heights by having an official day dedicated to the movie series, I know you’re probably foaming at the mouth right now and honestly, I don’t really have a good argument against you.

That’s pretty much what happened on Sunday so congratulations, this is your time to really pile on Philadelphia, even more so after the San Francisco 49ers officially broke the curse of the Rocky Statue after they beat the living hell out of the Philadelphia Eagles, which ironically, was also on Sunday. 

Up until “Rocky Day” here’s how things have played out after an opposing fanbase came to the city and caused a scene at the statue.

Luckily, the only saving grace from Sunday was this kid, who instead of sitting around on TikTok like the majority of his generation, he was watching Rocky movies and memorizing monologues. There’s no kids shows being played in this household. Paw Patrol?

Forget about.

This kid is waking up, watching Rocky, running through South Philadelphia, and heading over to Mighty Mick’s Gym to train for the next boxing match against Ivan Drago.

In front of the statue, with Sylvester Stallone in attendance, this kid gave an Oscar worthy performance.

Pretty impressive. This kid absolutely crushed this speech reciting it line-by-line and out performing Rocky himself. Also, Stallone needs to lose his crew holding up umbrellas. That’s a bad look for Rocky. Stand out there in the cold rain like everyone else.
