WATCH: Jalen Hurts questions Eagles’ commitment, says team needs to execute better following third straight loss

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered their third straight loss last night, losing to the Seattle Seahawks in the final minutes of the game, 20-17.

Jalen Hurts Following 20-17 Loss to Seattle Seahawks

“I’ve been talking about execution all year, being on the same page, everyone being on the same page,” Hurts said postgame, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re … committed enough.”

Listen, we all know that Jalen Hurts was battling through an illness while continuing to play through a knee injury that has been bothering him throughout the season but at the end of the day, he needs to play better football.

Hurts finished the game completing 17-of-31 passes for 143 yards and no touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions, both of which happened in the fourth quarter.

As usual, Hurts shouldered all the blame in his postgame press conference as his Eagles fell to 10-4 on the season.

“We just have to be better,” Hurts said. “I have to be better. Minimize the mistakes, the penalties, the mental errors. Play team football, and it starts with me leading that. We’ve lost games because I can be better. That will change everything, and I accept that.”

Hurts has thrown just one touchdown pass during the Eagles’ three-game losing streak, while scoring three times on the ground. Even with the latest loss, he remained optimistic saying that he can still see “light at the end o the tunnel”.

“We have to make an internal change in how we attack things,” Hurts added. “How we come to work every day. It starts with the little things, how committed we are to doing what we’re doing. And it all starts with me, the quarterback. It’s a challenge I’m embracing.”
