Roster Moves: Eagles convert TE to WR ahead of Week 17 matchup vs. Arizona
The Eagles made a couple of roster moves ahead of this Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
On Thursday, the team announced they signed TE Griffin Hebert but are listing him as a wide receiver.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles placed WR Devon Allen on Practice Squad Injured Reserve.

Hebert, 24, held multiple virtual visits with Philadelphia during the pre-draft process before signing with Seattle as an undrafted free agent.
His Pro Day numbers were gaudy, posting a 4.58 40-time at 239 pounds while recording a 39.5-inch vertical and 10’2” broad jump. His impressive agility scores (6.95-second three-cone) make Hebert an intriguing athlete worth gambling on.
In five years at Louisiana Tech, Hebert recorded 99 receptions for 1,532 yards and 14 touchdowns.
NFL.com Scouting Report:
“Undersized tight end whose speed and fluidity in space basically make him a big slot receiver. Hebert had an excellent pro day, which should put him on the map as a priority free agent.
Evaluators could grow to appreciate his mismatch potential and run-after-catch talent the more tape they consume. He needs to play with better effort as a blocker, but his athleticism, explosiveness and speed could make him a developmental project for a team.”
Griffin Hebert powers his way to paydirt for @LATechFB and it's a one score game in the 4th!
