Rookie safety Sydney Brown was lost to a torn ACL in last week’s loss against the Giants. With starting safety Reed Blankenship unlikely to play (groin), additional secondary depth is needed.
CB Avonte Maddox is expected to play safety alongside Kevin Byard if Blankenship can’t go.
Mekhi Garner signed with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent and spent the entire 2023 season on the practice squad. Tristin McCollum appeared in three games for the Eagles this year, playing 59 snaps on special teams.
Zyon McCollum, Tristin’s twin brother, plays cornerback for the Buccaneers. The Eagles will need all hands on deck to deal with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
Looks like Reed Blankenship won't play tonight. He hasn't practiced all week and is not participating in warmups at this point. (He worked out earlier.)

Look for Avonte Maddox to play safety — something that reporters (and fans) have asked about for five years.
