Flyers overcome power outage at the Wells Fargo Center, destroy Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2
We had a power outage last night at the Wells Fargo Center during the Philadelphia Flyers’ 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Flyers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead courtesy of Bobby Brink and with 13:43 remaining in the first period, a section of the Wells Fargo Center lost power.
According to Reports: 25% of the building lost power after a transformer on the event level of the stadium blew up. Luckily, no one was harmed.

Pretty weird scene. I guess you can say the power for the Tampa Bay Lightning went out too right?
I think we should all be happy this didn’t happen during the PECO Power Play. It would have been a terrible look for one of the Flyers’ signature sponsors.
What made it even more funny is the fact that the Philadelphia Flyers official Twitter account posted the following video before the puck dropped last night.
