WATCH: Pistons HC Monty Williams heated after awful no-call vs. Knicks
On Monday night, the Detroit Pistons suffered a heart-wrenching 113-111 defeat against the New York Knicks.
Pistons HC Monty Williams strongly criticized the officiating, especially regarding the lack of a call when Detroit forward Ausar Thompson was fouled, leading to a pivotal and-1 play for the Knicks with just 2.8 seconds remaining in the game.
Monty Williams spoke candidly as he faced the reporters after the game.

Williams said the Pistons have “done it the right way. We’ve called the league. We’ve sent in clips. We’re sick of hearing the same stuff over and over again.
“We had a chance to win the game, and the guy [DiVincenzo] dove into Ausar’s legs, and there was a no-call,” Monty Williams said. “That’s an abomination.”
In the post-game pool report, crew chief James Williams stated that a loose ball foul should have been called on DiVincenzo.
Shocker, an NBA official, takes accountability when that’s literally the only thing he can do. But, there won’t be any disciplinary actions or changes made. It seems officials are held to a different standard than coaches and even players.
I wouldn’t be shocked if Monty Williams receives a fine for this and the NBA continues business as usual.
