WATCH: Buddy Hield hosts Sixers practice at residence in Dallas ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Mavericks
The Philadelphia 76ers were in Dallas, Texas over the weekend and were able to take advantage of Buddy Hield’s mansion and private practice facilities ahead of their game against the Mavericks on Sunday.
With the Sixers facing the Mavs, Hield invited the entire team over to his residence in Dallas as a venue for the team to practice before the game on Sunday. The Sixers posted a “vlog” featuring Hield and the rest of the team practicing on social media over the weekend.

“I stay in Dallas in the offseason,” he said. “This is where I work out. This is where my family stays. It’s nothing better to bring the guys to the house and let’s shoot around. You know it’s an early game. So team bonding, you know, see where I stay. … It’s fun.”
Buddy Hield has certainly established himself at the NBA level, being among the very best shooters in the “Curry Era” with elite marksmen all over NBA basketball courts. He was able to secure the bag with a $92 million contract as a member of the Indiana Pacers and now at the age of 31, Hield is poised for another payday this summer when he heads to free agency.
We can discuss that later. Right now, Hield is a member of the Philadelphia 76ers – a team that’s doing everything possible to survive in the Eastern Conference Standings while keeping their fingers crossed that Joel Embiid will return in time for the playoffs in April.
Hield embracing his time in Philadelphia and more importantly his teammates is definitely a good sight to see. In the video above, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and we even got to see Kelly Oubre Jr. was swinging on a swing set along with several other players stayed after to get extra shots up and work out.
Whatever happened at the Hield residence, it definitely worked. The Sixers left Dallas with an impressive upset win as Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris rallied the Embiid-less squad to beat the Mavs 120-116.
You’d have to wonder if practicing at Hield’s residence could become a regular occurrence.
Looks like it beats heading to Camden, right…?!
With the win against the Mavs, the Sixers improved to 35-25 on the season. They are a half-game behind the New York Knicks who currently hold the fourth seed in the East and 13 games behind the first place Boston Celtics.

Up Next: The Sixers will remain on the road but head back East to face the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow night. From there, they’ll return home to play the Grizzlies on Wednesday and Pelicans on Friday.
