There have been rumblings about an Eagles-CJGJ reunion for the past few days now. Apparently it started at the scouting combine, where both sides squashed their differences about what happened last offseason. Now, CJGJ is back home on essentially the same deal Philly offered him last offseason before he went to Detroit. Classic.
After his breakout year with Philly two years ago, Gardner-Johnson was injured for the majority of the 2023 season with the Lions. He did return in the postseason however and managed to snag himself an interception.
The team desperately needed help at the safety position this offseason and this signing certainly helps. And according to our Jake Rabadi, Howie might not be done cooking yet. Stay tuned.
