Brian Snitker refuses to allow his family to attend baseball games at Citizens Bank Park

Atlanta Braves skipper Brian Snitker appeared on Atlanta Sports Talk Radio 92.9 The Game and stated that he refuses to let his wife and kids attend baseball games at Citizens Bank Park because of how awful Philadelphia Phillies are to opposing teams, players, and families.

Brian Snitker on The Steakhouse just said that Philly fans are so nasty and brutal to his wife and kids at Citizens Bank Park that they will never go to a game in that stadium again.

This is the stuff that Philly fans are proud of, it's despicable.

Snit also mentions that no one there seems to care to protect his and his players's family in Philly and that stuff is being said to actual kids that is just unreal.

Ushers and security in Philly often just say that that is just part of how Philly fans operate. Disgusting.

Okay the obvious reaction here is simply “good” and literally no one cares if Brian Snitker’s family comes to any baseball game, let alone one in Philadelphia but beyond that, if you believe a word that Snitker is saying then I have a beachfront property to sell you in Idaho. DM’s only.

You know what’s disgusting? Brian Snitker lying about fan interaction at Citizens Bank Park.

Literally no one knows who Brian Snitker is and wouldn’t even be able to identify him if he was walking around outside the ballpark in street clothes.

Now he wants people to believe we know who his wife and kids are and on top of that, harass them during games at Citizens Bank Park while believing that staff and ushers just brush it off and say “it is what it is, that’s Phillies fans”?

Just take a minute and search the internet for videos from Citizens Bank Park or really, any sporting event. There are millions of videos online showing fan interaction with players and other fans and I have literally never seen a single one featuring Brian Snitker’s family. 

Again, no one has any idea who Brian Snitker’s wife and kids are, nor would they care to even address them while the Philadelphia Phillies were absolutely destroying the Atlanta Braves for the second straight season in the NLDS. We literally do not care. 

Let’s take a trip down memory lane to the 2022 NLDS ahead of Game 3 in Philadelphia. 

Brian Snitker was asked about the environment at Citizens Bank Park and completely downplayed Phillies fans, comparing the expected crowd to what Atlanta played in front of at home all season long.

Q: You guys have played in every environment there is. It’s going to be crazy in Philly this weekend. Do you feel that’s something that the guys…

BRIAN SNITKER:

“I’ve been in Philly when it’s crazy. When I was a third base coach, every game we played there was nuts.”

“These guys are used to it. It’s going to be I guess the “so-called hostile environment”, obviously. But they’re used to, the last two nights, the last — this whole year has been nuts here [Atlanta]. It’s like playoff baseball pretty much the entire year here.”

“And I don’t think it’s anything they haven’t been exposed to and probably they’ll feed off it like they feed off our fans here in Atlanta.”

Holy downplay?! We should be clear that Atlanta Braves fans are non-existent and can barely pack a stadium for a Braves playoff game.

During the NLDS the last two seasons, where you know, the Phillies wiped the grass with the “darlings of the NL East”, Atlanta was basically home games for the Phillies. 

The truth of the matter is, the Atlanta Braves and Brian Snitker are absolutely terrified of the Philadelphia Phillies and their fanbase. The Fightins have embarrassed the Braves in back-to-back seasons and are primed to not only do it again in 2024, but also to win the NL East OUTRIGHT. Snitker was trying to motivate his baseball team but of course, that won’t work either.
