Oakland Athletics, MLB fans are convinced that players who support the protests to prevent move to Las Vegas is promptly removed from the major league roster and they might be right
I know it’s hard to believe but sometimes, the internet and more specifically, Twitter proves to be a beautiful source of information.
While aimlessly scrolling today, I stumbled across one of the wildest conspiracies happening in the sports world today and honestly, I believe ever word written here by the account @BigBobsCards – suggesting that the Oakland A’s have traded and/or optioned anyone who is in defiance of the team being moved out of Oakland.
Oakland Athletics Anti-Protest Conspiracy
According to the theory, there’s a website called the Last Dive Bar. The online store describes itself as a “premier online store for unique and stylish apparel that celebrates the iconic Oakland Coliseum”.
Also featured – a bunch of t-shirts, merchandise, and promotional products that feature Oakland A’s owner (and known rat) John Fisher as a literal rat – among other “boycott” and “sell” related items that are in obvious support of the A’s remaining in Oakland.

Oakland Athletics Front Office:
Down the Rabbit Hole
Here’s the kicker – the theory was posted with four photos featuring current or former Oakland A’s players. Here in Philadelphia, we’re familiar with Cristian Pache – who ended up being shipped to the Braves before landing a spot on the Phillies roster.

Again, that matters because each player photo shows them wearing a Last Dive Bar wristband and none of the players have exactly found success in Oakland. In fact, they are no longer on the A’s major league roster.
Esteury Ruiz – OPTIONED
Esteury Ruiz led the AL in stolen bases last year and started this season by hitting .429 WITH A 1.232 OPS and was just optioned to AAA.
Brent Rooker – BENCHED
Brent Rooker the A’s sole All-Star last season, was benched.
Cristian Pache – TRADED
Former No. 1 prospect. Major league level talent. Shipped outta Oakland.
James Kaprielian – RELEASED

Unfortunately for A’s fans, John Fisher never gave a shit about them and he brought on GM Dave Kaval to aid him in destroying everything possible in Oakland to make the revitalization of Athletics baseball in the Bay Area nearly impossible.
Fisher is nothing more than a GAP trust fund baby that purchased the Oakland A’s for less than $200M that has turned a once-powerhouse baseball organization in the ’70s, ’80s, and early 90’s into an organization and stadium that resembles a post-apocalyptic experience for the average of 2,700 fans that still showed up to the ballpark over the last decade.
Just a sad state of affairs in Oakland. Cheers to the fans that still give a shit. Death to owner John Fisher and GM Dave Kaval.
