WATCH: Joel Embiid sends message to haters wears DX shirt gifted from Triple H himself ahead of Wrestlemania 40 in Philly
The reigning NBA MVP and scoring champion, Joel Embiid returned to the court last night after being sidelined for nearly two months following surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus on February 6th.
Fittingly enough, he came back the same time the city of Philadelphia is gearing up for WWE’s Wrestlemania this weekend.
Reminder: Joel Embiid has routinely whipped out the DX “suck it” celly in NBA games and on top of that has been fined $25,000 because of it.
Joel Embiid DX ‘Suck It’ Celebration
When Embiid was handed the $25K fine from Adam Silver and the NBA Deep State last season for what they considered an “obscene gesture” – it caught the attention of Triple H.
Triple H appreciated Embiid’s ode to DX and offered to chip in and pay for the fine as well as future fines if Embiid wanted to continue to use it in games moving forward.

Embiid wears Triple H ‘Suck It’ T-Shirt During Postgame Presser
Following last night’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Embiid tossed on a DX shirt that Triple H himself sent him ahead of Wrestlemania this weekend.

Embiid wore the t-shirt in his postgame presser…backwards…so “suck it” was on full display for the camera crew surrounding his locker.

Triple H was a member of DeGeneration X, a very popular and beloved wrestling tag team that created this crotch chop celebration. As someone who grew up watching professional wrestling and still do, I find it so amusing that Joel has seemingly made himself a fan as well.
It just hit me as I was typing this, if Daryl Morey and the rest of the clowns who run the Sixers organization can’t help deliver a championship, Embiid could just go to the WWE and win one.
Sounds like a fun alternative to completing “The Process” right?
Regardless it was just nice to see the big fella back in action last night. He seemed happy to be out there and as we all know, when the vibes are high with the Sixers, Embiid is having fun on the court.
