Kyle Schwarber dazzles in the leadoff, Nick Castellanos walks it off in Phillies’ 4-3 victory over the Pirates
The Philadelphia Phillies bounced back after a Friday night loss to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 in walk-off fashion yesterday at Citizens Bank Park.
After a dominant first two outings, Spencer Turnbull came back down to earth yesterday, tossing four innings while allowing four hits, three earned runs and four walks while striking out just three.Â
Turnbull allowed a double on a sharp line drive to centerfield in the top of the first inning to Ke’Bryan Hayes that scored Bryan Reynolds, giving the Pirates an early 1-0 lead. Kyle Schwarber answered back with a lead off home run in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game 1-1.Â
