Eagles may be banned from wearing home uniforms for Week 1 in Brazil
Although the Philadelphia Eagles will technically be the home team for their Week 1 contest against Green Bay in Brazil, they may be forced to wear their all-white uniforms.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Sao Paulo’s soccer club, Corinthians, have an informal ban on the color green at their home stadium because of their fierce rivalry with fellow Brazilian soccer club, Palmeiras.
Looks like it’ll be all-whites for the Eagles

While I fully respect Corinthians stance against their arch rivals’ colors, keeping the Eagles (or the Packers for that matter) from wearing any green on their uniforms will be impossible.
Every piece of the Eagles uniform has some green in it. Even if they do the white-on-white combo, there are green stripes on the pants and green outlines around the numbers of the jerseys. Not to mention each of the Eagles alternate helmets have green in them.
The same goes for Green Bay as well. Their primary color is yellow, but they have shades of green on their pants and jerseys.
I will admit, this is an awesome tradition for a rivalry. I wish the Eagles banned blue from their stadium to piss off Cowboys and Giants fans. But even if they did enforce a blue-ban, I’m sure the organization wouldn’t tell teams from a completely different sport traveling to the United States for a game that they can’t wear their own colors — even if they’re blue.
