New York Mets Dollar Dog Night

New York Mets attempt to copy the Philadelphia Phillies for the second straight week, launch $1 Dog Night Promotion

Death, taxes, and the New York Mets being total losers. In the latest embarrassing headline coming out of Queens, NY we have a “brand new” promotion from the Mets where they will offer dollar hot dogs to the small, pathetic crowd that shows up to their game against the Chicago Cubs on April 30th.

We are only a few weeks removed from Steve Cohen taking to Twitter and interacting with Mets fans, saying they need to give Francisco Lindor the “Trea Turner Treatment” in effort to make him a good shortstop again.

Quick Update on Lindor:

Mets fans actually tried to do the Trea Turner ovation thing and by the looks of it there was a grand total of what…20 people that showed up?

On top of that Lindor “loved” the gesture? I mean seriously, have some dignity.

Well, I will happily inform you that things continue to get worse for the New York Mets. Their new promotion, titled “$1 Hot Dogs” on April 30th against the Chicago Cubs is now being considered as the second effort to completely rip-off the Philadelphia Phillies.

New York Mets $1 Hot Dog Disclaimer

Bring your appetite and head to Citi Field on Tuesday, April 30 for Dollar Dog Night. Enjoy $1 hot dogs courtesy of Nathan’s. Limit of four (4) hot dogs per transaction.

Of course the Mets website added a nice little disclaimer, limiting the amount of hot dogs that can be purchased by one person. Honestly, I’m sure it will be pretty easy to monitor given the fact that there’s like 25 people who show up to games.

At the end of the day, I guess imitation is really the best form of flattery right? The fact that the New York Mets keep taking our old ideas and using them as their own while their baseball continues to play like complete ass is priceless.

Next thing you know, the 25 in attendance at Citi Field will be doing the patented “Dollar Dog Wave” in the stands before ultimately cancelling the promotion because they’re scared of the chaos that could follow.

We Miss You, Phillies Dollar Dog Wave
