WATCH: Patrick Beverley throws basketball at Pacers’ fan after he broke the Bucks huddle with a ‘Cancun on 3’ chant

A new report has revealed what the Indiana Pacers fan sitting behind the Milwaukee Bucks bench in Game 6 said to Patrick Beverley that started a confrontation.

The broadcast caught a frustrated Patrick Beverley throwing a basketball at a Pacers with just over two minutes left in Thursday night’s series clincher for the Indiana Pacers.

According to Lauren Merola, Shams Charania and Eric Nehm of The Athletic, the situation escalated when the fan yelled “Cancun … Cancun on 3” while the Bucks were breaking a huddle.

Yikes. Not the best look for Pat Bev here. It’s honestly the first time I’ve seen a Milwaukee Bucks player throw away a game ball. Typically, they are running into opposing team’s locker rooms to take basketballs and then spending an entire season complaining about it, right?

Anyways, if Patrick Beverley didn’t have 12 assists in Game 5, I would probably have said that it was his best pass of the entire series but I guess that joke is over with at this point.

Pat Bev notched 40 minutes in Game 6 – the most of any player but wasn’t as efficient as he was in Game 5, finishing the game with just six points on 3/11 shooting with two rebounds and five assists.

In attempt to make up for his poor performance and the Bucks’ elimination from the NBA Playoffs, Pat Bev congratulated the Pacers on Twitter shortly after the game ended.

“Damn belt 2 A$$ … Congratulations Indy,” wrote Beverley.

Not cool PatBev. For a player that talks so much unnecessary shit, the fact that you’d actually get mad at a fan is pretty insane. You certainly cannot have your cake and eat it too. Bad look. Plus, it’s not like the fan was wrong anyways. The Milwaukee Bucks are in fact, heading to Cancun.
