WATCH: Jimmy Butler clowns Josh Hart, says the Knicks would be ‘at home’ already if he was playing
It’s no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers finally have cap space and assets to use this summer to add another ‘star player’ to their lineup alongside Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.
Summer Watch: ‘Flexibility’ is the keyword for the Philadelphia 76ers offseason plans
Yesterday, in an appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up!”, Brian Windhorst named three players that the 76ers will be monitoring this offseason.
Star Hunting: Philadelphia 76ers Monitoring 3 Players this Summer:
- Paul George
- Brandon Ingram
- Jimmy Butler
The first would be Los Angeles Clippers guard Paul George who has yet to agree to a contract extension. Windhorst said the Clippers have been hesitant to offer George a max contract, and believes the 76ers would do so if given the chance.
Windhorst also expects the 76ers to monitor the situations of Jimmy Butler in Miami and Brandon Ingram in New Orleans.
Jimmy Butler: “If I was playing… New York damn sure would be at home. Josh Hart? C’mon man.”
Listen, Paul George is a very good basketball player and would be a major upgrade over Tobias Harris for the Philadelphia 76ers next season.
Unfortunately, George is also a perennial loser and has never won anything.
I know Jimmy Butler hasn’t exactly won anything either but he is an absolute killer on the court and come playoff time, has proven to elevate his game to the next level. On top of that, he and Joel Embiid are good buddies so we might as well make the big fella happy for once.
A Jimmy Butler reunion is the move. Butler along with Maxey and Embiid would add a killer in the 76ers’ lineup come playoff time and honestly, he never should have left Philadelphia in the first place.
