The red hot Philadelphia Phillies will look to keep things rolling tonight with National League Pitcher of the Month Ranger Suarez on the mound against Giants’ pitcher Keaton Winn.

Ranger Suarez overshadowed the top two pitchers in the Phillies’ rotation in April, with a dominant 0.63 WHIP in his first six starts while posting an undefeated 5-0 record with a 1.32 ERA in over 41 innings of work.

Suarez has gone nine, seven and eight innings in his last three starts and is on pace for 218 innings this season – which would be a career-high from his previous best at 155.1 innings in 2022.
The Phillies rotation as a whole has a 2.50 ERA, trailing only the Boston Red Sox for the best in Major League Baseball. They have a rotation WHIP at 0.99 which is the best in the MLB, and the second most quality starts at 18 – trailing only the Seattle Mariners.
Suarez will start tonight for the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park against the San Francisco Giants on two extra days rest thanks to Spencer Turnbull’s start last Tuesday that followed Taijuan Walker’s 2024 season debut last Sunday.
The Phillies have the most wins in Major League Baseball at 21 and for the first time since April 11, 2022 are in first place in the NL East Standings.
