I honestly thought it was a joke.

Why Thomas Jefferson University would even allow this person to announce the names is mind boggling. Was there no screening done to ensure that the person in charge of the names would be able to, you know, say the names correctly? 

On top of that, the balls on this woman to accept the job while completely butchering the easiest of names in the process is insane. Clearly, there wasn’t any type of preparation done beforehand. 

The result was an embarrassing performance in attempt to honor these kids who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to earn their college degree over the past four years.

I guess the silver lining would be listening to this woman butcher names over and over again. Your commencement is now viral across the internet and will be remembered forever. Regardless, commencement is always a boring time.

I graduated from West Virginia University and didn’t even attend the ceremony. No shot I was sitting through the Class of 2010 commencement with thousands of other kids for hours on end.
