WATCH: Philly sports stars called out by 97.5 the fanatic host in yet another embarrassing moment for talk radio

I am sick and tired of doing this. I am sorry to all the die-hard Philly sports fans out there who moan and groan when they see or hear stuff like this. 

97.5 The fanatic host, John Kincade, made a completely pointless and just flat-out wrong statement. Before I dive into it, I’m well aware of the stigma that comes with being a sports talk host, podcaster, or whatever the case may be because, a lot of the time, it’s people who have no athletic bones in their bodies. Kincade did not help this narrative whatsoever with this awful take today.

This idea that Philadelphia is the only city with stars like this is laughable. My only explanation is that he is attempting to garner as much social media buzz as possible because it’s a slower time in the Philly sports world. 

Next, when was it ever a rule for the team’s highest-paid player or “leader” to be the spokesperson? If you’ve ever been in locker rooms or around sports, for that matter, you know it can be a completely different situation for every team. It all comes down to the personalities and coaches. Also, I agree Joel Embiid could improve in this department; I don’t see how it’s fair to assume Bryce Harper and Jalen Hurts aren’t vocal. 

Only some people can always be the loudmouth guy in the room. Being the team leader requires a level of respect, and when Hurts and Harper walk by, you can sense it. When both speak, everyone listens. That’s what truly matters; these are professional athletes we are talking about here; they do not need their hands held. 

I’m also sick and tired of these Philly sports talk radio shows constantly being critical of the stars in this city for the most pointless things. What’s next? You don’t like how little of a nightlife/social life Hurts has outside of football? Total clown behavior from these hosts over and over again. 

It wasn’t long ago AJ Brown hopped on one of these shows and owned all the hosts making shit up behind the air waves.
