Eagles sign two more draft picks to rookie contracts, two players remain unsigned

The Eagles finalized rookie contracts with two more players on Wednesday, signing fifth-round LB Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and sixth-round pick G/C Dylan McMahon.

Jeremiah Trotter Jr. recorded 202 tackles (29.5 tackles for loss), 13 sacks, and 13 pass breakups in his four years at Clemson. He’s the only FBS player with 5+ sacks and 2+ interceptions in each of the past two seasons and could be a foundational piece for Philly’s defense.

Questions about his athleticism dropped Trotter’s draft stock, but his football IQ and obvious bloodlines more than make up for his physical limitations.

His father, Jeremiah Trotter Sr., spent eight seasons with the Eagles during the 2000s. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2000, a four-time Pro Bowler, and one of the most feared men in Jim Johnson’s defense.

Dylan McMahon fits the mold of a modern-day center: undersized but incredibly athletic.

The Eagles now have seven of their nine draft picks signed — first-round CB Quinyon Mitchell and second-round DB Cooper DeJean remain.
