Blue Jays Fan Foul Ball to the Face

Toronto Blue Jays Fan takes 110 mph foul ball from Bo Bichette straight to the dome, doesn’t even get to keep the baseball

A Toronto Blue Jays fan, Liz McGuire, went viral on social media after posting aftermath photos from a 110 mph foul ball off the bat of Bo Bichette hit her directly in the face.

McGuire, who turned away for just a few seconds to argue about the need for robot umpires with a friend took a foul ball directly to the head.

Fucking hell. That’s a massive lump. Im surprised that Liz McGuire, who said herself that Bo Bichette’s foul ball hit her at roughly 110 mph was still standing after contact. She did go to the ER but somehow managed to stay and watch the remainder of the game.

What made everything a million times worst for McGuire, is the fact that she didn’t even get to keep the baseball.

The woman who got the baseball, which clearly ricocheted off McGuire’s face, refused to give it to her and ultimately left the game early after fans were chanting at her to give the ball back.

I mean seriously. That’s more insane than getting plunked with a foul ball in the first place. How can you not give the girl a baseball when she took it directly to the dome? Some people are just the worst.

No word on if the Toronto Blue Jays plan to hook Liz McGuire up with some tickets (ideally behind a net or in a club box) after wearing a foul ball but my guess is that she will be rewarded in the very near future.

McGuire’s initial tweet now has over 116,000 likes, 8,000 retweets, and 3,000 comments. The total times it was viewed on Twitter is approaching 10 million. No shot the organization can ignore this Blue Jays fan. Make it happen!
