Griffin Bruns Centerfield Tag Ohio High School Baseball

WATCH: Griffin Bruns made one of the most RIDICULOUS baseball plays ever in a Ohio High School Division IV playoff game between Marion Local and Fort Recovery

I have watched a TON of baseball in my life and I don’t think I have ever seen a play like this even attempted.

A high school baseball player in Ohio made one of the most ridiculous plays the game has ever seen on Friday in a game between Marion Local and Fort Recovery High School.

Fort Recovery was leading 11-3 with one out in the top of the sixth inning during the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division IV playoffs.

Batter Caden Grisez blooped a single into shallow center field and quickly realized that nobody was covering second OR third base as he sped across the base baths.

Making it to third Grisez realized that home plate was open as well, so he went for the inside-the-park home run.

Enter Griffin Bruns

Griffin Bruns, playing centerfield miraculously chased down Grisez and got the tag on him before he crossed home plate.

What was the catcher and third baseman doing? Hell if I know. Check out the look halfway to home from Grisez. Burns put the fear of god into that kid as he ran in from centerfield.

At this point, I think he knew his fate, right?

On top of that, for the play to finish with the centerfielder literally laying on top of you just short of home plate is simply unreal. Life truly does come at you fast.

Bruns, was MOVING in from center field and after this video went viral on social media, others started posting his football highlights. During the Division VII championship, Marion Local was beating the piss out of Dalton Local 31-0 in the first half. Burns was a big part of that with an 80-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Griffin Bruns. Special teams. Special plays. Special players.

Thank you brother.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
