Major League Baseball thinks that fans will actually purchase a buttoned down shirt featuring both Phillies and Mets logos?
We already got a good look at the custom baseball bats the Phillies will using this weekend. You can check those out right here. As for the official New Era / MLB merchandise? Let’s just say it needs some work.
Phillies – Mets Crossover Button Down Shirt for the London Series

I can confidently tell you that the only people that purchased this shirt are people from London who have never been to the United States of America or some asshole who wanted a piece of the “worst t-shirt ever” to laugh about with his friends.
I mean seriously, this is the type of stuff that starts wars. London should know that after they tried to force themselves into the free world before the good ol’ USA beat the crap out of them in the American Revolution.
At that point, I would rather just rock the “Rob Lowe” and wear a [insert sports league logo] hat

Anyone who knows anything about baseball knows how much the Phillies and Mets hate each other. I would have loved to be in the room when some genius thought that this would be the perfect shirt to help market the London Series.
How this shirt managed to leave the drawing board and make its way onto shelves is honestly hilarious. Not surprised that it did, just one of many failed marketing ideas from Major League Baseball.
