Forget the Villanova Knicks, the Philadelphia 76ers have the perfect opportunity to restore the ‘FEDS’ with Fultz and Saric currently free agents and Ben Simmons ready for a Nets buyout
Who cares about the Nova Knicks when the Philadelphia 76ers have the perfect opportunity to restore the legendary FEDS lineup?
In case you haven’t heard, the New York Knicks somehow managed to convince the Brooklyn Nets to trade them the last piece of the “Villanova Puzzle” by landing Mikal Bridges in a trade for Bojan Bogdanovic and a huge bag of draft picks.
Those draft picks reportedly include four unprotected first-round picks, one protected first via the Milwaukee Bucks, one unprotected pick swap, and one second-round pick.
Fun Fact! (Not Really). The New York Knicks already have Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo on their roster and now will add Mikal Bridges as the final piece that won the National Title in 2015-16 at Villanova. They won another Natty two years later (minus Hart) together too!
Shoot me in the face.
This is nasty stuff. I can’t believe the Brooklyn Nets are just a few years removed from having Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Ben Simmons on their roster to completely bending the knee to the New York Knicks by trading them their best player.
How embarrassing.
Philadelphia 76ers: FEDS Lineup Incoming…
Imagine bringing this crew back together paired with Tyrese Maxey. That’s something that would reignite my interest in this basketball team and honestly, could save Daryl Morey’s job as general manager.
I knew they were a poverty franchise already but this is next level scum. Thankfully, the Philadelphia 76ers and Daryl Morey have the perfect opportunity to match the New York Knicks and enter next season by reuniting an old squad that if stars align, should all be available this summer.
- Markelle Fultz is an unrestricted free agent.
- Dario Saric is an unrestricted free agent.
- Ben Simmons could be looking at a Nets buyout.
Daryl Morey Trust Level: Zero
Time to wake up, Daryl. We have Markelle Fultz and Dario Saric on the free agent market. Toss in Ben Simmons and we’re back to where we should have ALWAYS been with the following crew (plus Maxey).
