MLB All-Star Game Jerseys

Nike continues reign of terror on baseball uniforms, releases the worst MLB All-Star Jerseys since last year’s MLB All-Star Jerseys

On Wednesday, Nike revealed the official MLB All-Star Jerseys, and it’s safe to say the reaction from fans was in-line with all of the other reactions baseball has received over the past six months in regards to their jersey updates and changes.

Really, really bad.

Since the MLB transitioned from wearing team jerseys during the game to All-Star jerseys in 2021, baseball fans have been begging the league to return to the more traditional option where players can simply wear their own team’s jerseys with an All-Star patch on the sleeve.

Instead, Nike and Major League Baseball continue to roll out pathetic attempts at designing a jersey that fans actually appreciate.

To put it simply, it appears Nike and Major League Baseball don’t give a shit.

This year’s game, played on July 16th in Arlington, Texas will continue the trend of featuring All-Star jerseys for both the American and National League teams.

Nike currently has a 10-year agreement with Major League Baseball so they will likely continue their jersey massacre until 2029. While there has been discussions on bringing back the tradition of players wearing their team’s jerseys as soon as 2025, other reports state that Nike’s horrible ideas will continue to take precedence.

MLB All-Star Jerseys:

Yikes.

This year, the NL will wear dark navy blue pants and jerseys, while the AL will wear beige pants and jerseys. I don’t even understand the color-combinations here. I guess the font is “western” themed because the All-Star game is being played in Texas?

Everything else? Zero clue.

The American League jerseys look like something that was thrown in a load of wash with too much bleach and then left out to dry in the sun for way too long.

For the National League, I guess you can get away with them because they are black but a beige home jersey? That’s just nasty work from Nike.

In case you were wondering, the baseball caps for the All-Star game aren’t much better either.

MLB All-Star Jerseys

Why Major League Baseball decided to move away from allowing players to wear their own team’s jerseys with an All-Star patch on them is wild.

Trust me, I can appreciate a good “cash grab” but if you’re going to sell All-Star jerseys, then maybe put a little effort into them?

It’s mind-boggling that a team of people looked at those jerseys and thought that they were good. It’s almost like they forgot they needed jersey designs and at the very last minute, they just threw something together, right?

After all of the issues and criticism Major League Baseball faced from players and fans alike with the disastrous rollout of Nike’s Vapor Connect jerseys and the manufacturing blunders of Fanatics, you would think that the All-Star jerseys would the perfect opportunity to redeem themselves and instead, this is what they look like?

Major League Baseball needs to get their heads out of their own asses and go back to the good old fashioned Summer Classic look – when America appreciated their most coveted past time and focused on what was important.

unfiltered, opinionated, and certainly do not care if you like it or not.
