Caitlin Clark slams the door shut on the Rookie Of The Year Race as she sets an all-time WNBA single-game record with 19 assists in sensational performance

To say Caitlin Clark was in her bag last night would be an understatement.

Sure I know it’s the WNBA and the national media continues to shove this product down our throats while numbers continue to struggle. The Indiana Fever also lost last night to the Dallas Wings in the final minutes of the game.

Say whatever you want, but when an athlete goes out and sets a league-record by dishing out 19 assists while also scoring 24 points and grabbing six rebounds on the night, it needs to be written.

Caitlin Clark broke the WNBA record for most assists in a game last night against the Dallas Wings. She notched an incredible 19 assists, breaking the previous record of 18 held by Courtney Vandersloot.

Clark completed the feat late in the fourth quarter with a dish to teammate Kelsey Mitchell for a left-wing three-pointer.

Just like that, Angel Reese’s double-double streak which basketball fans claimed was the most impressive thing happening in the WNBA right now has completely vanished. Go figure.

While Angel Reese was hunting down rebounds and even creating a few of her own in order to extend her double-double streak, Caitlin Clark has been carrying the WNBA, smashing records, and staying silent while enduring so much unnecessary criticism on a nightly basis.

Side Note: I wanted to give a shoutout to the WNBA for their constant mistreatment of Clark. She and Sabrina Ionescu both declined their invitations to compete in the 3-point contest during the All-Star break. While this is totally speculative, I don’t blame either because perhaps the two are preparing to compete in the NBA’s version, which is the much smarter move. The two are much larger than the “W” in regards to their personal brands and impact on the game.
