Citizens Bank Park will host Flyers top prospect Matvei Michkov tonight, scheduled to throw out first pitch ahead of Phillies-Yankees game
Last week, following widespread speculation across social media, the Flyers top prospect, Matvei Michkov finally arrived in Philadelphia.
The Flyers official social media accounts posted pictures of Michkov, Danny Briere, and Keith Jones walking through the airport. Michkov, was wearing custom orange Phillies hat that featured a Veterans Stadium patch on the side.

The following day, Michkov held his introductory press conference where hard-hitting journalist Kyle Pagan of Crossing Broad asked the Flyers’ rookie about wearing a Phillies hat. Michkov, acknowledged that the Phillies are one of the best teams in Major League Baseball (true) and expressed his desire to watch the team in-person and meet the players.

That’s now happening tonight at Citizens Bank Park. Matvei Michkov is scheduled to throw out the first pitch as the Phillies open up a three-game series against the New York Yankees. Hopefully, Michkov will see a different product than what the Phillies have displayed over the past 12 games – eight of which were losses.
The Phillies would be foolish to stand idle ahead of tomorrow’s MLB Trade Deadline
