Howie Roseman Jason Kelce Scouting Job

Howie Roseman tells Kay Adams that he would ‘gladly’ offer Jason Kelce a scouting job with the Philadelphia Eagles

On Tuesday, Kay Adams hosted her show, ‘Up & Adams’ down at the NovaCare Complex during the Philadelphia Eagles training camp. Howie Roseman hopped on the mic and shared a ton of stories about the team, players, and former players – including his relationship and job offer to Jason Kelce.

“I think Jason would be great at anything in football,” he told Kay Adams on Tuesday. “I think he’d be a heck of an evaluator. I tried to recruit him to come work with me too, because he can evaluate players. … No, I’m not joking. When we were in that draft, I gave him a few centers that we really liked and he came out and said, ‘I love Cam Jurgens.’ Luckily I only give him the players that I like so he can’t come up with somebody else.”

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni also told Adams that the door is open for Kelce to join the Philadelphia coaching staff whenever he wants, while mentioning that Kelce is still around the building, interacting with players and staff during training camp.

Kelce even has his own locker alongside the rest of the coaching staff and has previously admitted on his New Heights podcast that he still heads in to the NovaCare Complex to workout throughout the summer.

“Jason Kelce can have a space on anything he wants to do on this football team,” Sirianni said. “I love him. I’ll greatly miss him. … I can’t say enough good things about how much he meant to me as a coach.”

The six-time NFL All-Pro and Super Bowl champion never really stepped away from the limelight after retirement. Instead, he accepted a role as an analyst on ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Countdown’ while continuing his successful New Heights podcast with his brother, Travis.

Recently, Kelce has also been spotted attending the Paris Olympics and joining ESPN’s coverage of the Hall of Fame game. Kelce accepting a role within the Eagles organization is inevitable and as mentioned by Howie Roseman in the video clip above, he already helped find his replacement in Cam Jurgens.

Speaking of Cam Jurgens, after the Eagles selected in the second round (51st overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft, he served as a starting guard across 11 games in the 2023 season – and was named as a Pro Bowl alternate.

This year, he’s expected to take over the role as the team’s starting center.
