Matt Strahm Baseball Cards

WATCH: Matt Strahm collects baseball cards of every player that goes yard against him

Matt Strahm is an absolute freak and his baseball card collection proves it.

The Phillies have been complete dog shit over the past month. The Phillies are 4-7 in the month of August after a miserable 10-14 in July.

They just got blanked at home by the Miami Marlins 5-0 – but regardless, in a recent interview, Matt Strahm talked about his baseball card collection addiction and touched on one thing that he does every time an opposing player hits a home run off him.

Strahm makes sure to get an autographed rookie card of the players who hit home runs off him – which heading into the All-Star game consisted of 54 players.

No word on if Strahm was able to secure two more cards for the dingers he let up post All-Star Break but check out this psycho talking cards in a recent interview with Topps.

Matt Strahm has been collecting baseball cards since he was a little kid. He has a spare bedroom where he stores his collection, which reportedly is an upwards of ONE MILLION cards. Strahm figures he also has 10,000-20,000 baseball cards in his mom’s attic in North Dakota.

Serial Killer Behavior. I absolutely love it.

Shoutout Matt Strahm, who finally brought toughness to the Phillies’ pitching staff by throwing at Gavin Lux following Nick Castellanos HBP >>

Matt Strahm likes baseball cards so much he literally rocked a belt made of them during MLB All-Star Weekend, constructed of baseball 14 cards.

Speaking of that, Strahm, en route to his first MLB All-Star selection, went 4-1 in before the break with a 1.49 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP in 36.1 innings pitched.

Things haven’t gone too well for Strahm and the Phillies in general since then. He’s 0-0 with a 5.19 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP over 8.2 innings of post All-Star break.

Even with his recent struggles, Strahm is having a career-season. He’s 4-1 on the year with a 2.20 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP in 48 appearances (45 IP).
