Nick Castellanos delivered yet another signature postgame interview after walk-off hit against the Atlanta Braves
Outside of carrying the Philadelphia Phillies for the past week offensively, the second best part of Nick Castellanos playing like one of the best outfielders in all of Major League Baseball is the fact he speaks to the media following the games.
Nick Castellanos postgame interview with ESPN
It’s always hilarious when the media tries to have a conversation with Nick Castellanos. He’s so blunt in his replies and always speaks in a “matter of fact” tone which at times, if you’re not familiar, can come off as rude or him simply being an asshole.
Media members love open-ended questions in an attempt to get players to dive into details that in reality, no one gives a shit about in the first place.
Here in Philly, we have come to understand Nick Castellanos and appreciate his words.
Castellanos is all about “face value” and refuses to sugarcoat and give you the same run-of-mill answers that players typically feed the media following a game.
What did Castellanos see? 4-seam fastball. What happened next? Well, if you were watching the game, you know exactly what happened so your question is pretty silly, right?
Ah. You want to bring up a cellphone that was ringing earlier in the week?
Casty will set the record straight. It wasn’t his. If it was his phone ringing, he would answer it and see whats up – obviously.
Last night, after Castellanos delivered a game-tying double in the sixth inning, he followed it up with a walk-off in the bottom of the 11th, guiding the Phillies to a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Casty is hitting .277 with 84 hits, 12 homers, 52 RBIs and 36 runs scored in 79 games since June 1, 2024 and has arguably been the best hitter in the Phillies lineup over that span.Â
The Phillies took 3-of-4 from the Atlanta Braves, putting a stranglehold on the NL East with just 25 games remaining.
They now lead the Braves by seven games. They are in second place in both the National League and in the overall MLB standings, trailing only the Los Angeles Dodgers by one game.Â

Give a break. He’s a D@@k
