After a quiet start to the season and a whole lot of criticism for the Eagles defensive line over the first two weeks of the season, Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter finally showed up in The Big Easy. They combined for a sack, tackles for loss, and pass breakups, finally putting pressure on Derek Carr and the Saints’ offense.
The Eagles defense smothered New Orleans’ run game, holding them to a mere 89 rushing yards on 29 carries. Jalen Carter was heated on the sidelines with the game winding down late in the fourth quarter. With the Eagles in victory formation, Carter started jawing at Saints defenders Tyrann Mathieu and Marshon Lattimore.
Carter wasn’t just chirping at players—he was fed up with the Saints crowd as well. It took more than a few people to keep him in check.
Head of security, Big Dom, and defensive line coach Clint Hurtt were doing their best to hold back the 300-plus pound wrecking ball as he exchanged words with everyone around him.
Jalen Carter was HEATED at the end of the game
I understand the intensity. Trust me. Just look at TLL in the stands as the Eagles stole one at the Superdome. It was absolute chaos.
