Dallas Goedert gives reminder of playmaking abilities in Eagles offense
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert entered Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season with only 69 yards to his name over the first two weeks but left the Superdome by providing fans with a reminder of his consistent abilities.

Goedert was one of the star performers in the 15-12 road victory over the New Orleans Saints, helping Eagles move to 2-1 early in the season. He hauled in 10 passes on 11 targets for 170 yards, a season-high, and helped the Eagles close out a massive bounce-back victory.
With star wide receiver A.J. Brown still sidelined due to a hamstring issue, Goedert filled in big time. He registered his fifth-career game with 100 or more receiving yards (his most yards since logging 135 in December 2021 vs. Washington) while also setting a career-high with double-digit catches.

Goedert’s involvement increased over the final two quarters, following DeVonta Smith’s evaluation for a concussion in the third. He also helped spring running back Saquon Barkley for several key rushes down the stretch as Barkley finished with 147 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.
With Brown’s status remaining unknown heading into Week 4, Goedert’s role could continue to grow as the Eagles aim to keep their consistency on the offensive side of the ball. As the 29-year-old nears the 4,000-yard plateau, he remains focused on doing whatever possible to help the Eagles be successful this season.
“It feels really good and I’m really excited to see where we can go,” Goedert told reporters postgame. “It felt good getting touches this week, but I’m going to do whatever I can do to help this team win. I love blocking, too.”
The Eagles (2-1) will remain on the road for a Week 4 showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Sunday, September 29, 1 p.m. ET). They will then have a Bye Week before returning home to host the Cleveland Browns (October 13, 1 p.m. ET).
