Embarrassing: Former Eagles OC Brian Johnson is “silencing” the doubters with early 2024 success on Washington Commanders
Oh, so now Brian Johnson is some kind of genius over in Washington, huh? Give me a break. This guy couldn’t stop running wide receiver screens and QB draws during his time as the Eagles offensive coordinator.
Sure, he had to work under Nick Sirianni’s playbook, but let’s not overreact after just four weeks in a new destination. While he may have found a better coaching fit, he does have the advantage of having rookie sensation Jayden Daniels as his quarterback, who has been doing nothing short but lighting the league in fire.
However, the NFL hasn’t gotten enough film on Daniels just yet, so they have that to their advantage in DC.
Loser energy from Eagles twitter account
Based on what I’ve seen from the Commanders this season, I want to publicly apologize to Brian Johnson. I was one of the louder people on here wanting him out of Philly. Turns out it was Sirianni calling those bad decision plays.

After our bye week, we host the Browns. If we…
With the Eagles offense currently struggling entering the bye-week, this all just rubs salt in the wound. To make matters worse, we traded a third round pick to the Commanders for Jahan Dotson and celebrated like it was a steal. Meanwhile, it appears as if Washington gave us a scrub.
The Commanders currently sit atop of the NFC East, and Daniels is coming off a start where he completed just under 92% of his passes. On the flip side the birds are 2-2 and Jalen Hurts has been a turnover machine to say the least.
Perhaps it’s still too early to jump to any conclusions, as the Eagles very well could turn this season around and Brian Johnson and the Commanders could come back to reality. But, the early read here is that Johnson could have simply been a scapegoat for Nick Siranni’s failures. Which should make all of Philadelphia sick.
